Services Provided

Cascade General Contracting provides professional attic and basement finishing services, including but not limited to:

  • Attic conversions and renovations
  • Basement finishing and remodeling
  • Home office installations
  • Room additions and expansions
  • Related construction and carpentry services

Estimates and Quotes

All estimates and quotes provided are:

  • Based on the information provided by the client
  • Subject to change based on site conditions and requirements
  • Valid for 30 days from the date of issuance
  • Non-binding until a written contract is signed

Contracts and Agreements

Services will only be performed after a written contract is signed by both parties. The contract will include:

  • Scope of work to be performed
  • Project timeline and milestones
  • Total project cost and payment schedule
  • Permitting and inspection requirements
  • Warranty information

Payment Terms

Deposit Requirements

A deposit of 30% is required before work begins on projects over $5,000. For projects under $5,000, full payment is due before work begins.

Progress Payments

Additional payments may be required at designated milestones throughout the project. Final payment is due upon project completion and client approval.

Payment Methods

We accept cash, check, and major credit cards. Credit card payments may be subject to processing fees.

Change Orders

Any changes to the original scope of work must be documented in a written change order and signed by both parties before work begins on the change.

Project Timeline

Project timelines are estimates only. Delays may occur due to:

  • Weather conditions
  • Material availability
  • Permitting delays
  • Client-requested changes
  • Unforeseen site conditions

Client Responsibilities

As a client, you agree to:

  • Provide accurate information about your project requirements
  • Make timely payments as specified in the contract
  • Keep the work area accessible and safe
  • Obtain necessary permits for work on your property
  • Communicate any concerns promptly

Permits and Inspections

We will obtain all necessary building permits for your project. You are responsible for ensuring your property meets all local building codes and regulations.

Warranty

We provide a 2-year warranty on all workmanship. This warranty covers defects in materials and workmanship under normal use. Warranty does not cover:

  • Damage caused by improper use or maintenance
  • Normal wear and tear
  • Damage caused by third parties
  • Changes made by the client after project completion

Limitation of Liability

Our liability is limited to the amount paid for the services. We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from our services.

Cancellation Policy

Cancellations must be made in writing. Deposit refunds are subject to:

  • Materials already purchased or ordered
  • Permits obtained
  • Work already completed
  • Notice period provided

Force Majeure

We are not responsible for delays or failures to perform due to circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to natural disasters, pandemics, or government actions.

Intellectual Property

All designs, plans, and materials created for your project remain our intellectual property unless otherwise agreed in writing.

Our website is for informational purposes only. The information provided on our website is not a binding offer or contract.

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Cascade General Contracting from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of our services or website.

Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Oregon. Any legal action must be brought in the appropriate court in Lane County, Oregon.

Dispute Resolution

Disputes will be resolved through mediation before pursuing legal action. Both parties agree to participate in good faith mediation.

Entire Agreement

These terms constitute the entire agreement between you and Cascade General Contracting regarding the subject matter herein.

Amendments

We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. Changes will be posted on our website and will apply to future engagements.
